Summecove

‘ A good day for the high stool’ remarked my brother this morning as the wind and rain lashed against the window, an Irish saying we are much fond of in our family when the siren call of the pub beckons. Alas, they are still shut for now but no Beach Week would be complete without at least one contribution from the Emerald Isle. I took this photo back in 2012 of Summercove, a tiny coastal hamlet not far from Kinsale. It’s a pretty idyllic, sheltered spot but just round the corner and your are out into the wild expanse of the Atlantic Ocean.
